In the woods and flowers

I had only blue, white, yellow and red. The red was used up after these paintings. I just wanted to finish the colors and boards.

Learning Piet Mondrian

Clear white background, sharp black lines, bold primary colors, sleek geometric shapes. That is Dutch artist Piet Mondrian.
I did this in class. Students loved it. It is very expressive yet eye pleasing. Of course, they do not use straight lines, at least not vertical nor horizontal. Because teacher did so, they make sure they will not do as the teacher. Well, ok with me. Art is about liberty.

Folded paper flowers with curly leaves

I saw on Pinterest some folded paper flowers, necklaces and decorations. So I made this. The flowers are just attached by scotch tape, not at all strong, but sufficient, because paper is light.

Pencil boxes

In the class, I saw one wood pencil box, pretty cool. I asked if I could take a picture. Then some other kids showed theirs. It was a feast for eyes.

Trees on moutain

Still class demo, I did a mountain. Then I thought I should add something more, such as a tree.

Before there was tree, it looked like this:

Flower

Just don't know what to do. Then I chose an easy one.

Winter tree

Plan to do paper cut, here is how the idea grows and becomes more mature.
First, I cut the paper, then I chose a background.

Setting sun over layered land

Class demo for landscape today, it's kind of repetitive. The only thing I find, once again, there is no end of work, of improving. There is always room to better off.

Oil pastel scribbling on reclaimed paper

It seems that I can never catch up with the speed of students neglected paper. This afternoon, 30 minutes, I did 3. But only 3.

Brighten up a flower

Another class demo, I am running out of idea and color. So I used hot pink and purple for flower petal, and light blue for center. Background light and dark blue.
Then I found the painting is quite dull, so I scratched out the center blue and added white and yellow.
